Nivea Body Lotion | Nivea Express Hydration | Nivea Nourishing Body Milk

Today’s post is just a continuation of the last Sunday’s post. If you haven’t checked it already, it was about Nivea Body Care Products including Shower Gel, Body Lotions, Roll-On Deodorant and Deodorant Spray, do check it here. Now in today’s post, I will be comparing both Nivea Body Lotions which we talked about last week, i.e. Nivea Express Hydration & Nivea Nourishing Body Milk and will try to find which Body Lotion will suit which skin type the most and which one is according to your criteria of a good body lotion. Enough rambling lets just jump into the post.
First of all look at the packaging. The packaging is exactly the same, the difference is just the colour. Nivea Express Hydration comes in a white bottle with blue writing over it while Nivea Nourishing Body Lotion comes in a Navy Blue Bottle with white writing. Both come with a flip cap, same size same shape.
Now just focus on this portion of the Bottles.

Nivea Express Hydration

  • extra fast absorbing
  • meant for Normal to Dry Skin
  • contains Sea Minerals

Nivea Nourishing

  • richly caring
  • meant for dry to very dry skin
  • contains Almond Oil
Now first just let me explain to you guys what difference does Sea Minerals and Almond Oil makes to the skin.

Sea Minerals – Skin Benefits

  1. relieve skin ailments such as acne, eczema and psoriasis
  2. enhance your skins ability to retain moisture, making it healthy and silky smooth.
  3. cleansing pores
  4. anti-allergic agent
  5. balances minerals in cells and in the body
  6. heals and relieves disorders
  7. natural antibiotic
  8. natural anti-inflammatory
  9. nourishes and hydrates skin cells
  10. removes toxic waste
  11. improves permeability
  12. natural regulation of cell growth and regeneration.
  13. facilitates cell renewal
  14. stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis (renews skin)
  15. natural UV rays blocker
  16. improves oxidation
  17. maintains water balance in order for cell metabolism to take place
Well, a number of sea minerals it contains are nowhere mentioned, these mentioned benefits are the benefits of almost all the sea minerals.

Almond Oil – Skin Benefits

  1. ability to keep your skin looking great
  2. safe for sensitive skin, including baby skin
  3. antioxidative properties,
  4. protecting skin against UV radiation damage
  5. keeping skin soft and supple
  6. easily absorbs into skin
  7. remove debris from deep within skin pores and follicles
  8. prevent future acne
  9. contains Vitamin A
  10. removes dark circles completely
  11. brighter, less puffy eyes
  12. delay general signs of ageing
  13. renews the cells of your facial skin
  14. natural remedy for eczema and psoriasis
  15. relieve the inflammation,
  16. relives itchiness and redness
  17. makeup remover
  18. treat chapped lips
  19. reduce undesired layers of tan

Isn’t it enough to know the benefits of both the products? What else do you need?? Both are perfect for skin and their skin benefits are highly comparable.

Now just turn the bottle and focus on this part.

Here it shows how it feels on the skin. As you can see from the picture, Express Hydration feels light on the skin while Nourishing Lotion feels rich on the skin.

For all the things mentioned till now, it does exactly what it claims.
Now just look at the consistency difference of both of them.

As you can see marked in the picture, the Express Hydration feels light and thin in consistency while Nourishing Rich Caring is thick cream like in consistency.

When I straightened my hand and let both of them flow just look at their flowing pattern. The Express Hydration as is thin in consistency, it is moving like a fluid while the Nourishing one moves as a whole as it is highly consistent and thick.

If you didn’t get a word out of this post yet, don’t worry. I will now do a one on one comparison of both for you guys so it will make it simple for you.

First Similarities
  1. Both moisturize skin to a good level.
  2. Appealing scent
  3. Long Lasting on Skin
  4. Smoothing & Softening
  5. Affordable
  6. Good Quality
Then Differences
  1. Nivea Express Hydration absorb instantly in the skin while Nivea Nourishing Body Milk takes a little time in getting into the skin, not a little time, it actually takes more than a minute which is a lot for absorbing a lotion
  2. Nivea Express Hydration contains Sea Minerals while Nivea Nourishing Body Milk contains Almond Oil which is highly comparable and both are very good for skin.
  3. Nivea Express Hydration is extremely lightweight and doesn’t feel on the skin at all while Nivea Nourishing Body Milk is heavy and has that lotion feel when it is applied but with time it goes away and settles in the skin.
  4. Nivea Express Hydration doesn’t give your skin a healthy or rich look while when applying Nivea Nourishing Body Milk makes your skin feel healthy and rich.
  5. Nivea Express Hydration gives silky smooth softness on the skin while Nivea Nourishing Body Milk gives nourished skin which is smooth but not too smooth.
  6. Nivea Express Hydration will remove slight dryness while Nivea Nourishing Body Milk will literally kill any type of dryness on the skin.
  7. Nivea Express Hydration has a moisturizer like finish while Nivea Nourishing Body Milk has a lotion like tacy finish which goes away with time.
  8. Nivea Express Hydration is meant for Normal Skin or Slightly Dry Skin while Nivea Nourishing Body Milk is meant for extremely dry skin.
  9.  Nivea Express Hydration won’t work as a good makeup remover but due to its Almond Oil Property Nivea Nourishing Body Milk can be used as a makeup remover.

My Thoughts

I am biased towards Nivea Express Hydration because I just love how it makes my skin feel and how it easily gets absorbed in the skin, but I also love how Nivea Nourishing Body Milk makes your skin look healthy and rich.

If your skin is Normal or you have combination skin, Nivea Express Hydration will work best for you.

If your skin is slightly Dry even then I will suggest Nivea Express Hydration.
If your skin is extremely dry I will highly recommend Nivea Nourishing Body Milk as it will keep dryness away from your skin.
If you are someone who wants a lightweight lotion get yourself Nivea Express Hydration.
If you are someone who can tolerate the taciness of lotion and wants a healthy looking skin get your hands on Nivea Nourishing Body Milk.

Will I repurchase them?

I will definitely repurchase Nivea Express Hydration because it is the most affordable lightweight Lotion I have ever used.
Though Nivea Nourishing Body Milk is a very nice heavy lotion, I will not repurchase it because my Vaseline Cocoa Butter works better for my extreme dryness than this product so I will stick to that.
Okay, guys. I hope you like this post.
