30 Life Hacks For Vaseline You Should Know

Vaseline is something every home has and in the Winter, Vaseline is something everyone looks forward to. I have come up with 30+ Vaseline hacks that will help you out these winters.

Vaseline is basically branded petroleum jelly and it is made up of Hard Paraffin, Soft Paraffin and Liquid Paraffin. You might not be interested in its formulation but as a pharmacist, I can help you make your own petroleum jelly at home. Do tell me in comments if you want a tutorial on that. For now, lets just jump into the hacks.

Vaseline, aka Petroleum Jelly, is the best moisturizer as its thick layer doesn’t allow water to evaporate from your skin leaving it dry. It helps to

  1. moisturize your lashes helping them grow better
  2. moisturize dry elbow and knees making them look smooth and healthy
  3. moisturize cracked feet making them soft and less painful
  4. moisturize your cuticles providing you with the best manicure
  5. moisturize dry skin solving the majority of your skin problems.

Not only does it moisturise your skin, but it also aids in

  1. moisturizing your scalp
  2. moisturizing dry hairs

Talking about the hairs, it can also aid in

  1. treatment of split ends
  2. taming your flying baby hairs

You can use Vaseline not only as a moisturizer but as a

  1. lip balm
  2. natural highlighter by applying it directly to higher points of your cheeks

  4. Removing surface/water stains – apply vaseline overnight and wipe it away the next day
  5. Removing fake lashes – apply them on top of your falsies and let them sit for 30 seconds before easily removing them
  6. Removing bangles – apply some Vaseline on your wrist and the bangles will slide off easily
  7. Removing rings – apply Vaseline mixed with water on your fingers to remove rings from your hands
  8. Softening pierced holes- apply Vaseline on the pin of your earrings and wear them

Other than these, you can apply Vaseline

  1. on your pulse points and then spray perfume to make the fragrance last longer
  2. to heal embroidery rash and scars
  3. avoid nail polish mistakes by applying them on side of nails before applying nail polish
  4. for damp hair looks by applying some Vaseline to your wet hair
  5. as shoe polish
  6. to protect your hairline while colouring by applying Vaseline on your scalp from ear to ear
